PRESS RELEASE PLATEAU STATE GOVERNOR RELAXES CURFEW

The plateau home of peace & tourism state. #Enough of religion bigotry in the state. The protest that cut across the nation was turned into a religion Muslim vs Christian. It is a high time we begin to tell ourselves the truth in this state both the religion whether Muslim or Christian doesn't know what they are doing. Both religious leaders know their bad eggs and their hiding in the name of religion to cause problem in the state. The youth protest on the street for a better governance has no religion correlation. If the country is good today it's for the betterment of all of us whether Muslims or Christians. Our so called politicians, the looters looting the Treasury does not differentiate within themselves whether Christians or Muslims both of them gather and share the resources meant for the betterment of the larger society. The plateau's; it's high time  you talk to your selves. The educated once should educate the uneducated once. It's not every fight you turn into a religion crisis. Buhari is a Muslim but I have seen a lot of Muslims who are hungry that are turned begger on the street bad government has no religion correlation. It stated in the holly book that "as a leader you will be hold accountable if an animal complain of hunger during the cause of your leadership". Aplaud  to the government of Plateau state has been proactive enough to declared 24hrs curfew if not it would have been another super story again in JOS metropolitan " #Iknowmypeople". But following resolutions reached at a high level stakeholders’ meeting chaired by the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, one of which is the need for stakeholders to immediately engage their communities across the state in a systematic Peace dialogues aimed at de-escalating tension, the Government has decided to relax the curfew earlier imposed on Jos North and South Local Government Areas from 6am to 8pm as from Friday October 23, 2020 until further notice.

This decision was reached after painstaking deliberations with critical stakeholders and careful assessment of the security situation that led to the skirmishes in some parts of the affected local government areas, last Tuesday.

Please note that the government is not unmindful of citizens’ Constitutional Rights to hold lawful assembly or stage peaceful protests as long as these are carried out within the extant laws of Nigeria. As a Government, we also appreciate the fact that these are the variables that further deepen our democracy.

However, as a deliberate approach to prevent a repeat of last Tuesday’s ugly incident where precious human lives and property were lost, the Government has for now also resolved to ban forthwith any processions and protests under whatever guise in order to safeguard the lives all citizens of the state. This is to enable the Government isolate and deal with those who are bent on disrupting the peace of the State.

By this notice, we urge all law abiding citizens to go about their legitimate businesses without fear of molestation as government has put all necessary measures in place to ensure the maintenance of law and order across the state.

For the avoidance of doubt, the Plateau State government has already set machinery in motion to address the demands raised by the protesters. In this light, government has constituted a Committee headed by a retired High Court Judge, Justice Philomena Lot which has since swung into action and ready to receive petitions from those who have cases.

We sue for understanding and patience from all and sundry as government takes decisive steps to address the demands of the protesters in the coming weeks.

We therefore call on all citizens to avoid any action that is inimical to the overall development of the state especially those that threaten the peace and unity of our people.

Signed.

Prof. Danladi A. Atu

Secretary to the Government of the State

DAY3:#A TRIP TO ABUJA

The Abuja roads are not as rosy as displayed in the city centre.  Abuja could be viewed on the media as rosy as a rose flower. But nevertheless, the city centre is growing in terms of infrastructural development. It's high time attention should be diverted to other suburbs of Abuja out of the city centre. The population of Abuja is not centered only at the city center but the suburbs of Abuja like Kubuwa, Lugbe Gwarimpa etc. Today on my day three blogs i decided to take a ride from Kubuwa: Gado Nasco, Ijayapi street - Liberty Junction in Kubuwa but the disco dance could not be emphasize. A ride of less than 15mins took up to an hour before you could get to your destination; that is how the entire population of these suburb suffered daily in order to meet their daily needs and wants just because of the bad road or call it bad governance. On this road it was seen that the community members are trying within their means and contributions by the individual to fix the road by themselve...

The Trump administration barbaric act

The rate at which Donald J. Trump hates black's are becoming unbearable. We said enough is enough to black American racism, we said no to racism and we said no to racism to the whole World. Where is Obama? Where are the black celebrity's? Where is Oprah Winfrey? Where is the UN? and Where is the world leaders at large? their voices are not heard yet on the killing of GEORGE FLOYD'S.  From the CNN  The Obama must come out in public to criticize the act of President J. Trump on the hates to ward's the Black's Americans as barbaric. Oprah Winfrey must come out to criticize Donald J.Trump acts towards the Black's as Barbados. The UN need to follow suite, the World leaders, and the entire World across the globe. The American President thought he's dominating the black community by calling the black peaceful protest against the barbaric killing of George Floyd's as tugs. #ISAYNOTORACISTTOJ.TRUMP.
