END THE ALMAJIRI'S BEFORE IS TOO LATE

The word “Almajiri” is derived from the Arabic “Al muhajirun”, “an emigrant”. It usually refers to a person who migrates from his home to a popular teacher in the quest for Islamic knowledge. This is the basis of the Almajiri system in what became Northern Nigeria.

According to wikipedia and free encyclopedia Almajiranci(hausa) is a system of Islamic education practiced in northern Nigeria and it is also the name for a young boy who is taught within this system, the system is called Almajiranci, the male gender seeking Islam knowledge is called Almajiri, female gender is Almajira, and the plural is (almajirai). The system encourages parents to leave parental responsibilities to the attached Islamic school. The Hausa word Almajiri is derived from the Arabic word, "المُهَاجِرْ" "al-Muhajirun," which refers to a person who migrated his home in search of Islamic knowledge. Now, thus differ from the ebira way of gaining Islamic Knowledge. When i was growing at age 3-4years, i could recall how my niece took me to the Islamic school with the command of my father upon my refusal. Although this one is quite differed from what is mostly practiced in the North today as almajiri. Mine in those days only last for maximum of 4hrs daily except Thursday and Friday as the case may be.It was in Owo [idu ani roro] Ondo state-Nigeria. consequently, on the relocation of my parent to our home town Okehi LGEA(Obeiba-Ihima) in Kogi State Nigeria i was sent to Islamic makaranta to continue my islamic reading at Nurudeen Islamiya, subsequently enroll in my early primary education back then at age seven maximum. Before completing my elementary education i was trained to read the entire qura'an at the age 11 to 12, then which became a wonder for the entire people in the local community. Colloquially, the term has expanded to refer to any young person who begs on the streets and does not attend secular school which is the opposite of what we used to know back then in Islamic School. Many people in Hausa land give 'Sadaka' to almajirai on daily basis seeking Divine reward and protection.
Almajirai are children, usually from poor rural backgrounds, who leave their hometowns to study Islamic learning with malammai, teachers of the Quran.i discovered now a day the method of learning islamic education is being bastardized. Most malams were educated in the alamajiri system themselves, and as they do not receive a salary but depend financially on the arms of the community and the work of the almajirai. The almajirai usually begin their studies between the ages of 3 and 12, and learn about the Quran in schools called tsangayu. In their early twenties, the almajirai reach sauka, graduation, and become gardi or gardawa.
When not engaged in learning the Quran, almajirai in rural areas may work on farms, while urban almajirai conduct small tasks like domestic chores, running errands, and fetching water. Some almajiri attend secular schools concurrently, or switch between secular and almajiri schools. Additionally, almajirai practice alms begging, or almajiranchi, out of necessity to eat. Almajiranchi was not originally part of the almajirai system, but it is now said to prepare the almajirai for the hardships of life, make them strong and humble, and keep them devoted to studying the Quran. The practice of alms begging is widely denounced as child abuse in Nigeria['wikkipedia']. Approximately 8.5 million children attend Islamic schools in Northern Nigeria. There are approximately 300,000 almajirai living in the state of Kano. The practice of almajirinci is common in the state of Kano. Acoording to the former Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II that if the urgent measure is not taken the people called almajiri's will turn to problem in future. Here, it became palatable and ideally for our legislature both upper and lower to make law in order to solve this problem of almajiri's once and for all but never the less. Recently, due to corona virus pandemic, almajiris was repatriated from one state to another with abuse and human right violation in agreement of all the Northern Governors. It would have been the best idea to return the kids to their parent with a proper database in order to trace them. i could imagine taken those children in a truck load from the northern states the root caused of the almajiri's to the southern part of the country such as state like Delta, Cross River etc which later rejected them back without feeding and physical distancing order by NCDC.
The almajiri system in Nigeria is highly controversial. The system has been attacked for promoting youth poverty and delinquency, for failing to teach young boys vocational skills and thus making them unequipped for the workforce, and for radicalizing boys and making them perfect recruits for gangs and Boko Haram.Others believe the almajiri system teaches young boys to be pious, good people who will benefit society.
Opinion: According to El-rufai on the channel "Politics today"anchored by Seun Okinbaloye at 7:00pm that they the Nothern Governor's have agreed to end the system of almajiri's once and forall 'aplaud' only if implemented. From the view of Governor El-rufai many agrees that he can actually abolish almajiri's in his own State while others governors are not a certain most especially Kano&Katsina because they both give a counter analogue against Governor El-rufai on total stopping of almajiri's practice in the country entirely. It a perfect move to end the nonsense called the almajiri in the north today because you can see the children without shelter, no good cloth, no shoe and they are even not sure of a meal per day. I am of the witness during the cause of my education at Bauchi. Government of Nigeria really needed to wake up to their responsibilities most especially, those of the Northern Governors should immediately wake up from their slumber to end the almajiri's system once and forall because it has been bastardized. "Kindly feel free to submit your opinion in order to improve/ total elimination of almajiri's system in Nigeria".

DAY3:#A TRIP TO ABUJA

The Abuja roads are not as rosy as displayed in the city centre.  Abuja could be viewed on the media as rosy as a rose flower. But nevertheless, the city centre is growing in terms of infrastructural development. It's high time attention should be diverted to other suburbs of Abuja out of the city centre. The population of Abuja is not centered only at the city center but the suburbs of Abuja like Kubuwa, Lugbe Gwarimpa etc. Today on my day three blogs i decided to take a ride from Kubuwa: Gado Nasco, Ijayapi street - Liberty Junction in Kubuwa but the disco dance could not be emphasize. A ride of less than 15mins took up to an hour before you could get to your destination; that is how the entire population of these suburb suffered daily in order to meet their daily needs and wants just because of the bad road or call it bad governance. On this road it was seen that the community members are trying within their means and contributions by the individual to fix the road by themselve...

The Trump administration barbaric act

The rate at which Donald J. Trump hates black's are becoming unbearable. We said enough is enough to black American racism, we said no to racism and we said no to racism to the whole World. Where is Obama? Where are the black celebrity's? Where is Oprah Winfrey? Where is the UN? and Where is the world leaders at large? their voices are not heard yet on the killing of GEORGE FLOYD'S.  From the CNN  The Obama must come out in public to criticize the act of President J. Trump on the hates to ward's the Black's Americans as barbaric. Oprah Winfrey must come out to criticize Donald J.Trump acts towards the Black's as Barbados. The UN need to follow suite, the World leaders, and the entire World across the globe. The American President thought he's dominating the black community by calling the black peaceful protest against the barbaric killing of George Floyd's as tugs. #ISAYNOTORACISTTOJ.TRUMP.
